On the Island.

It's a little amazing to me how many memories a view can hold. I love this dock. So many other days relive themselves in my mind's eye as I stand there and feel the salty air, watch a display of colors in actuality and through the mirror.

just saying hello.

Hello! What a month it's been... We've been in our home all of 5 days, thus far. Every week we've been in a new state, from the south, to the north and now west. 

My gramps had good taste in specs, did he not? Oh, I loved him more and more as we sorted through photos and rummaged in drawers.

Waking, fishing, swimming, reading, cards, meals on the dock, games, lightening shows, sleeping. Repeat. 

Thanks for all your sweet words about the passing of my Gramps. We miss him, but we are glad for him. And very grateful for the days we got with him!

Long days, spent with family. In the morning, we fish for our dinner. In the afternoon, we swim. In between we play cards or yard games.

Gramps' house is a dear little place.
