brunch at egg.

One morning, while we were in New York, we stopped by egg for breakfast. It's one of our favorites- and what fun to share a meal there with these friends.

I know, lots of photos from last weekend! (and maybe more to come?) Amanda has also posted some of her photos, here.

Want to know something funny? We have never read nor seen any of the Harry Potter series. Last nite, we tagged along with some friends who were going to see the final one. I dont know what possessed this decision. We were so lost. The whole time.

that looks like a delicious breakfast!!! you & amanda jane are such beauties.

umm...that is really funny about seeing movie 7 part 2 with NO prior knowledge of the books/story! i can't even imagine how lost i would feel. are you at all interested in reading/watching the rest of them now?!

i just saw part 2 last night and felt somewhat out of place...it could be partially because i didn't see part one! To be honest though, I saw previews for Sherlock Holmes 2 and Batman and I'm more anxious to see those!

I cannot imagine watching the last HP without knowing the story! You must have been so confused with talk of wands, resurrection stones, and invisibility cloaks. Hope you have a chance to go back to the beginning.

Lovely photos of your brunch! :)

maybe you ought to jump on the proverbial bandwagon and read 'em. some of the most fun i've had reading ever, plus heart-expanding Christ metaphors abound.

i always wish so desperately that i could have lovely little brunches like you always seem to have. sadly, when you're in college, no one cares about good food, they care about cheap food. so many wasted mealtimes. what would kinfolk think?

i hope you enjoyed the harry potter film, even if you were lost!

i hadn't read/watched any of the harry potter series til the 6th movie (where i, also, tagged along with my friends). i was utterly lost. since then, i've read the first book, and watched the last two movies. a friend of mine who was in the same boat as you thought that snape was harry potter's father. all this to say, i completely understand. and brunch with friends is always fun.

i dragged my man (also in your shoes) the last time a movie came out . . . he asked questions the whole time, the poor guy. good sport though. definitely a series to read first.

Hi, I have followed your work for a while now and have "tried" to figure out your style. Can't...this is truly art!!! I am shooting and editing a wedding this weekend and wondered if you wouldn't mind sharing your editing style. I have PS CS4 and Lightroom. I just need to know....how you achieved this look. I think this style would look aMAZING on a wedding I am shooting this weekend.....If you wouldn't mind...my email is kelwood9@gmail.com and I would love some pointers. I am a HUGE fan of your work!
Thanks
Kel

Can I have the same email as abby?? I love the style of your photos and would like to know what you do to achieve it.

I have been following your story about your adoption. Has been a big thing on my mind to do but not 100% sure if we (husband and I) should. Congrats and I hope it goes quicker...

Kind thoughts, Carlyn

The Harry Potter thing makes me feel a lot better...I only read to the third book and I thought THAT was bad. I'm 19, so the series sort of "belongs" to my age group since the first book came out when we were around 7...people give me crazy looks when I say I'm not too interested in it.

Ha. I haven't read or watched any either. Think I might pick up the first book and see what it's all about.

Love egg - we stumbled across it during our time in NY last year. So glad we did. It was amazing.

previous potter experience necessary, the opening credits should have read.

and pray tell WHOT is the treatment of that marvelous looking orange in the last picture? has it been seared or sprinkled with chocolate? was it particularly delish? oh, so many questions.

xo.

Funny-Matt and I were just musing over how lost someone would be if they just watched the last movie. Sounds like our musings were true-boo on sitting through such a long confusing movie!

The egg sounds fantastic and I must echo Lily's question-what is going on with that orange?
