oh the places we'll eat.
Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 10:15AM we eat. we eat to stay alive, its true. but since its something we have to do, we try to enjoy it.
we were in california last week- in san diego, where i grew up, and in los angeles. the food there is really good. ONE, my moms kitchen is exquisite. my parents whole backyard is eatable. which means anything we eat there is the freshest of the fresh.
we like finding new places to eat. and i guess you could say we really value fresh/local ingredients in an environment that we find inspiring. so, we had some fun in LA cause our friend LAjoey took us to some fun little food spots.
and i think our favorite was huckleberry. it was in brentwood. ive been sort of dreaming about the homemade granola, the tea, and the carrot and avocado salad i ate there.
there was this place called Intelligentsia in venice beach (one of my favorite places ever) that was just inspirational to be inside of. ivy was growing down the sides. plus the tea was good. and andrew says its the best americano of his life.
lastly, the atmosphere at Wurstküche coupled with the fries/dipping sauces made this place super fun to hang out in. and eat in.
anyone living and breathing in southern california, or going there this summer-- i guess this post was for you. or maybe im just a-hungered.
(and you might need an invitation to eat at my parents house, sorry...)

I love your blog! The stories, photographs, colors inspire me. You write all kinds of posts about the stories of the people you photograph--what about YOUR story? How did the two little loveheads meet and what brought them to the point where they are today?
